Promoting your website is not difficult and only requires a little effort

Web site promotion, as the name implies, is all about promoting a website so that it can rank higher on search engines. This is important because a high rank means you will appear higher in SEPRs s and the increased visibility means you will get greater sales and you will pass your message to a lot more people. brainwork and patience. To promote your website, begin by ensuring that you are selling the right thing. You should consider the competition when developing a product or a service and you should consider creating a niche product or service if you want to attract more people. To promote your website, ensure that the website is working properly. This is important because even if you are to attract a large amount of traffic but have a website that is half-built or is unattractive, the visitors will just click away or will not return to the site.

There are many methods of promoting websites that have been used over the years and when making your choice

Make sure that you are getting value for your money and that the method suits your particular circumstances and needs. Some of the most popular methods that have been used over the years are doing keyword optimization and placing keywords on the URL, the title page, the Meta tags and the first paragraph, submitting the website to all the major search engines and indexes, paying for hits using PPC or pay-per-click methods such as Yahoo! Search Marketing and Google AdWords, and building links. Other methods are promoting your website thorough a blog, through a press release, and in the author bio and the call to action in articles placed in article submission websites.

An effective but rarely used method of promoting a website is by running a competition. Competitions attract those who want to win the prizes and while there, they will see what you have to offer. You could also give discounts. With the increased use of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, it is also possible to use such sites to create a buzz about your product and your website. You should consider enlisting the services of a professional to help you in Web site promotion. This will give you professionalism and unparalleled convenience.

What you have to Know about Website Promotion

If you run go through own internet business, at that time creating a website is essential. It is the only way that customers and clients can find you and it enables them to find out more regarding the company and how you can potentially help them. Even if you run an offline company, it can still be very beneficial to have your own company website. Though, it is not just enough to put up a website for your company; you as well have to promote it also. If you do not spend time promoting the website then you will gain no customers.

Understanding Website Promotion

There are various techniques of website promotion that you can use. A general one is placing banners on other websites that will link back to your website. However, you can as well promote your website through search engine optimization, which basically involves submitting your site to search engines where customers can find you after searching for particular words. You put tags in the text of your website and when a potential client types in those tag words or keywords, they will be presented with a link to your website.

Search engine optimization is very common other than it is not the only way of promoting your site. However, it is one of the main methods that you should focus on and it can be complicated understanding how to optimize your site for the most excellent search results.

Flash Based Web sites :- Flash is one of the hottest content-creation technologies on the web. A powerful tool for creating rich Internet content, Flash has evolved into a robust environment for developing online advertising, electronic learning courses, user interfaces for enterprise applications, and multimedia content. Flash is practically an Internet standard when it comes to viewing multimedia content on the Web to make these multimedia experiences more exciting than ever. Increasingly, businesses are using Flash as an introduction into their standard HTML web sites. Flash has become one of the design standards for building Internet solutions that affords more interactivity with the user. If Flash can enhance the user’s experience without compromising the objectives of the site, it should surely be used.

We merge our creative design know-how with our technical expertise, so that Flash applications are intuitive to utilize and more functionally advanced than your average Flash website. We develop most excellent quality Flash websites for a truly interactive surfing experience for customers and are fully geared to meet all your Flash requirements.

Welcome to A Promotion Guide.

If this is your first visit, you might want to take the time to read through this page. It contains a free step-by-step website promotion tutorial This tutorial is split into three phases that each have two, three or four steps. It is highly recommended that you start from the first phase and move forwards only after you have completed all of the steps in it.that also serves as a “User’s Guide” to the site. Reading it will give you a good idea on what you need to do, when you need to do it and how the articles on this site will help you. We’ll begin with the assumption that your site is brand new and that you haven’t done any website promotion work yet.

However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t use the tutorial if you have submitted to a few search engines or registered your site with a couple of directories. If you notice that there are some things you have already done, feel free to simply skip over them. Promoting your site takes a lot of time and may involve waiting several weeks or even months to get into certain directories and search engines. Thus, it might be wise to bookmark this page so that you can return to it later and continue the tutorial from where you left off. We’ll help you increase your internet traffic. We’ve spent years putting together a list of the best, most useful tips, tools and resources to help you grow your online business. We’ve separated the wheat from the chaff, so you don’t have to.

Search Engine Optimization Company

While this site is primarily designed to help you optimize your website yourself, sometimes you need a little help to get started. Choosing a SEO agency or Search Engine Optimization company can be a little tough. The trick is to distinguish between the people that have spent a few days reading posts in an SEO forum (and now consider themselves SEO experts) and ones that have spent years practicing on websites of various topics. When you are paying someone to do the work for you, you want to make sure that they are truly experienced. This page will give you some ideas on how to choose a Search Engine Optimization Company.

Internet Marketing Strategies

Once you’ve started to develop some great content on your site, it’s time to start working up a marketing strategy to promote it. Having a marketing strategy helps keep you website promotion in focus. Figure out who you’re marketing to, where you will find these people, and what interests them in the early stage of your strategies development. Based off this information you can develop attainable goals for your website, and keep from wasting your time and money trying promotional techniques that will not attract your target audience.

Our goal is to provide up-to-date information and tools to help you make your website profitable. From SEO tips and articles, to advice on obtaining hundreds of free back links, to help on choosing the bestaffiliate program, to coming up with new SEM and SMO (Social Media Optimization) stratagies, we provide what you need to make your web site a success!

Making sure your business web site is search engine friendly is only one aspect of Web site promotion.

Here are some other web site promotion tips:

1. Find easy and secure ways for your clients to pay you. A shopping cart and a secure way to accept checks and/or credit cards work very well.

2. Check your business web site’s links regularly to make sure they all work. Use a free link checker such as Xenu’s Link Sleuth.

3. Provide monthly chats or bulletin boards (forums) to build relationships and community.

4. Conduct periodic contests and announce the winners on your site.

5. Offer a free e-book or e-report on your site. Its size doesn’t matter if you’re providing it for free and it’s specifically for your ideal client. Provide permission for the e-book to be forwarded to others for their personal use.

6. Write articles, post them to your business Web site, and submit them to article banks.

7. Design some quizzes or surveys. Statistics show that visitors love quizzes and assessment tools.

8. Participate in online forums as an expert. You get to “quietly” promote your business in your three or four line signature.

9. Place your business web site address on all your printed literature — business cards, brochures, newsletters, letterhead, e-mail signature, ads – everything!!

10. Promote your web address in your signature for e-mails (change it regularly to highlight something new you’re promoting).

11. Teach classes or speak to groups about subjects relating to your products.

12. Network locally to bring people to your site.

13. “Permission Market” by gathering, in writing, the e-mail addresses of students, or an audience as part of your evaluation forms. Create index cards so that you can invite your friends, networking partners or associates to join your list. Keep any papers involved in this process for at least a year or two.

14. When your business web site is launched, updated, or you write a free e-book, send a Press Release to the media, your clients, and friends and associates, too.

We are here to ripoff the restaurant website design trends and make sure-

that this guide will be all that you will need if you plan to have your next restaurant website design. I will present with every possible details and resources that a webmaster would require while kicking-off the next restaurant website design. So, gear up!

Get a large mug of coffee and brace yourself for a guidebook that you will be forced to bookmark. Dining out with families or friends has jumped up exponentially with the growth of working eggheads. And all of us are aware of the reach of Internet in our day-to-day lives. It is this reach of Internet into the life of customers that has forced restaurants to rethink their online strategies. I won’t be surprised to see a restaurant with its own social media marketing team. After all we proudly spend more time on social media instead of sitting down with our families and watching T.V. Anyways, let us leave the social media debate for some other day.

Who would want to see the photograph of a chef on the home page of a restaurant website?

Are you, as a customer, interested to know how the staff of a restaurant looks like? Of course not! We jump onto a restaurant website to find out the menu of the restaurant, get an idea of the ambiance of that restaurant, the prices, location and similar features. Who wants to know if the chef of a restaurant can give good autographs?

Visitors can tolerate a website that has not been designed for over 5 years if the current layout is already helping them find out what they are looking for.

Facts (that should be strictly ignored) that a usual restaurant website shouts out loud to its visitors:

How the chef sniffs the oil.

How they hire their staff.

How the surroundings of the restaurant better than the restaurant.

How the manager is the most friendly human being on this planet.

Hot models (tagged as customers) busy stuffing food into each other’s faces.

A letter from the owner that no one ever wants to read.

Address or phone number is present in flash format so you cannot copy it.

A soothing background music on the website that plays forever usually forcing the visitor to fall asleep.

Facts (that should be pushed on the website) that are usually ignored on restaurant websites:

The menu in detail.

The price.

Ongoing offers.

Original (and latest) photographs.

The location (with a link to Google maps).

The timings.

Parking information.

Advance booking options (that works).

Do you understand what I want you to understand? Restaurant websites try their best to look “cool” and in between all this they tend to forget whatever their website visitors are looking for. Website visitors look for information NOT for flash. They want to know how your restaurant looks like not how your chef looks like. Show some sense, please!

These new capabilities will also give advertisers a much greater understanding of their consumers, allowing them to segment marketing messages based on certain user groups. All of this goes to support the general belief that Facebook wants to turn their ad platform into the main driver of a brand’s reach. To be successful in this space, brands will have to be very authentic. The first big move towards making ads into more organic-feeling messages came when Facebook introduced the updated Premium ad format, in which Premium ads could only be created from real content posted to a brand’s page.

Here are four ways to drive more engagement with the new Facebook ad units

It continued with the recently announced extended feature set for the ads manager, which includes the ability to set different metrics and goals for different campaigns. This capability allows you, for example, to set up one campaign and optimize it to be shown to users most likely to post comments; and set up a different campaign for users most likely to spend their Facebook credits on an in-app purchase. With this tool, marketers will be able to more efficiently use Facebook advertising to capture the attention of very different kinds of Facebook users. This means that now, more than ever, the challenge to create organic-feeling and genuine ads is on! along with tips for how to enhance performance once the new action-driven optimization capabilities are live.

The Noob Guide to Online Marketing is arguably the greatest single post of all time.

If you don’t agree, well, it’s at least my favorite. Oli Gardner (of Unbounce) displayed a playful writing style mixed with pixel perfect graphic design, and a GPS of a roadmap to take your site from mile marker zero to one hundred in six months. It’s nothing short of amazing. While savvy content marketers realize that many of Oli’s tactics will naturally attract links, fledgling link builders got to the 63rd page and were still wondering what to do. With this companion piece, it is my goal to grab the baton from Oli and outline a six-month link building action plan for your brand or client’s new web property. Even if the website isn’t brand spanking new, that’s fine, what I really mean is that this is the link building plan for the less savvy looking to do dive into off page optimization. Marketers with long existing sites and more link building experience will be better served downloading the Complete Six-month Off Page SEO Gameplan from iAcquire.

Following this guide in concert with Oli’s you will identify your audience, build a list of prospects,

plan and execute four successful pieces of content and convince influencers to create content for your site Since we last spoke I left Publicis Modem to become the Director of Inbound Marketing at iAcquire which is a technology-focused off page seo agency. I encourage you to read the “Quantifying Outreach” study that I released at LinkLove London wherein I examined nearly 300k outreach emails from both our own iRank platform and Buzzstream’s CRM software. The study will help you optimize your outreach emailing tactics and understand why treating people like people rather than prospects is a far more effective tactic than sending form letters.

For those keeping score at home this falls under both the Content Strategy/Development and Social Strategy phases of the New SEO Process.

Tools- The specific tools required for each month are called out in this guide however there are tools that may be used at any point for a variety of reasons. Every tool mentioned in this guide is free or at least has a free tier and/or a free trial that will allow you at least start working.

Rapportive – This Gmail Plugin is for identifying what users social profiles are connected to their email address. This is key because reaching out to people via social media first is far more effective than emailing them first.

Boomerang – This Gmail plugin allows you to schedule and automatically follow up on emails.

Microsoft Excel – This spreadsheet application is in invaluable for collecting, slicing and dicing data. Get to know it well with Distilled’s Excel Guide to SEO.

SEOmoz Toolbar – The SEOmoz toolbar is a must-have for a variety of reasons, but in the case of building links you can find out whether a site meets your SEO metric requirements as you go.

Scraper for Chrome – Stop copy and pasting data one piece at a time, use this plugin to quickly scrape data off a page and port it right to Google Docs.

Google Refine – The data you collect will often be wonky or at least not in the format that you want it to be in and for some things Excel just doesn’t cut it. This tool by Google helps you clean it up.

SpyOnWeb – Using this tool you can quickly figure out what domain names or IPs share the same space and what sites have the same AdSense ID. In other words you can use SpyOnWeb to identify whether your prospect is a part of a link farm.

Link Detective – This link classification tool quickly lets you determine what types of links you or your competitor has. Take a CSV from Open Site Explorer and throw it into the system and find out the makeup of a link profile.

Link Indices – A link index gives you the links that are linking to a given page or site. This is invaluable intel for tracking progress and identifying opportunities and deficiencies. Each of the following link indices has its own strengths and weaknesses, so give them all a try and determine which one fits your needs the best just like Branko Rihtman did:

Open Site Explorer

MajesticSEO

Ahrefs

My friend John Chow had a very interesting guest post a couple of weeks ago from Marketing Director of Aweber.

The post was titled How to Quadruple Your Email Opt In Rate, and it featured a small case study that the Aweber guys did while revamping their newsletter landing page.

Here’s a quote that should grab your attention:

We ran the split test via Visual Website Optimizer, which is an easy-to-use website testing tool.

In less than a week, the outcome was clear: the new “7 Reasons to Subscribe” page was outperforming the old version by over 321%.

So that page, which had just been plugging along, is now getting over 4 times as many people to subscribe as it used to. To put it another way: for every 1000 people to that page, we’re now getting 114 of them to sign up, instead of just 27 of them.

So did they change? Basically they went from a boring landing page,

Which pretty much just said “Sign-up and we’ll send you some email marketing tips”, to one with a more clear call to action and points to back it up. The headline, for instance, became “7 Reasons to Sign-Up for Our Email Marketing Tips”. This whole strategy is related to one of marketing’s most basic rules: you should focus on benefits and not on features. If you are selling a weight-loss ebook, for instance, your headlines and marketing material should focus on how much kilos your customers will lose, and not on how many pages of great content your ebook has.

When it comes to shrinking a blog audience, the ways to do it are aplenty.

Not posting often enough. Phoning it in with dull verbiage. Writing way too much on something very few people care about (your parents don’t count). But perhaps the most insidious traffic killers are logical fallacies: disingenuous, oversimplified, and often emotion-driven statements that do a terrible job defending a cause. Here’s a list of 12 logical fallacies so you can avoid them in future posts.

Rash Generalization – All women want to look hot, or all Frenchmen are rude. If you are stating a generalization that you are basing on evidence that is biased, insufficient, or outright illusory, you are damaging the value of your own post.

Either/Or – Stop global warming or we’ll all drown, or either the tax code is revised or America will go bankrupt. The fallacy of presenting only two diametrically opposed possibilities when there are endless alternatives and shades of gray to the issues being discussed will make your blog seem extremist and disconnected.

Non Sequitor – Mitt Romney is tall so he’ll make a great President, or the Greeks can’t solve their financial problems because they drink too much Ouzo. If your conclusion does not logically follow on from the premise, you’re coming off as a total idiot to any perspicacious reader.

Ad Hominem Attack – David Letterman shouldn’t host his talk show because he had sex with staffers, or Bill Gates is an untrustworthy executive because he was arrested at 19. Ad hominem is a form of non sequitor with a vicious edge that attempts to correlate some personal trait with the capacity to perform a completely separate task, and thus has no place in any blog.

Red Herring – How can anyone vote for Obama after he said his son would look like Trayvon, or why bother with healthcare reform since doctors are crooks. You are distracting and misdirecting your reader by correlating the essence of your post with an issue that is irrelevant.

Circular Logic – Anyone can diet if they have the will power to eat less, or if piracy was not illegal then it wouldn’t be prohibited by law. The assumption that a claim is true does not mean that there is evidence to support that claim. Fallacious reasoning assumes that your readers are ignorant and easily swayed, and you’ll find to your chagrin that they’re neither.

False Analogy – The universe is a mechanism and since every mechanism must have a designer, so does the universe, or he was wearing colors which proves that he is a gang member. Applying an argument which is trivial and deceptive to arrive at a far fetched conclusion is only going to devalue your blog in the eyes of your readers.

Questionable Cause – I washed my car so it rained today, or the Chilean earthquake caused the Dow Jones to fall. Simply because an event follows another event chronologically, it does not equate to the assumption that they are in any way related.

Straw Man – People who do not contribute to hunger programs want to see children starve, or the Administration’s contraception policies represent eugenics. Oversimplifying a viewpoint in order to attack an essentially hollow argument fails to take into consideration the complexity of an issue.

Slippery Slope – If the government passes copyright protection laws the internet will collapse, or if superbikes are banned then all motorcycles will soon be legislated off the roads. If you are basing your blog on the premise that if a particular event happens then there will be a domino effect that will cause a far greater impact than is reasonably likely, you are dynamiting your own post.

Genetic Fallacy – Americans shouldn’t buy Mitsubishi cars because they built the WWII Japanese Zero aircraft, or Donny Osmond believes in polygamy since he’s a Mormon. If you are establishing your post’s thesis on assumptions of value, character, or nature about the origins of a particular entity you’re not writing a blog, you’re just slinging mud.

Ad populum – All loyal Americans have to reject the Iranian regime, or you can’t believe in democracy while still doing business with the Chinese government. These forms of equating unequatables represent emotional, not factual, arguments. There is in effect no linkage between the two aspects of the correlation other than appealing to patriotic, belief-based, or other jingoistic triggers.

Logical writing is a skill your readers will profoundly appreciate, even though it’s not as flashy or sensational as fallacy-laden posts. Steer clear of adding unnecessary drama and over-simplistic writing, or you’ll see your argument undercut and your audience migrate to blogs written by more level-headed individuals.
